Background
After many successful years working for others and raising a healthy and happy family, Annette and Doug decided to open their own civil engineering consulting firm in May of 2005. Since our modest beginning that year, Wolf Engineering has accomplished many projects throughout New Mexico and southwest Texas. Our clients have ranged from the small commercial developer to the largest federal engineering agencies in the country.
As majority owner of the company, Annette Wolf brings floodplain, project, and office management experience to the firm. She has many contacts in the floodplain management community throughout New Mexico. Previously, she was employed for twelve years with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers - Albuquerque District. In this tenure, she successfully completed numerous floodplain studies and emergency/flood preparedness plans. Annette was also a member of the National Flood Proofing Committee while at the Corps. She gained a unique insight on National floodplain policies and procedures while serving on this prestigious committee. Annette obtained her degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1989.
As principal engineer of the company, Doug Wolf has been involved in and accomplished water resource engineering projects in New Mexico, southern Colorado, and west Texas for his entire professional career. He has successfully completed planning and/or design projects for the Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Fish & Wildlife Service, Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority, the State of New Mexico, Interstate Stream Commission (ISC), commercial developers, and home builders. He has experience with, and will accomplish or oversee, all aspects of the technical work the firm will undertake.
